Showcase: Death Korps of Krieg Grenadiers
Moving on to less wacky stuff , here's a Death Korps of Krieg grenadiers squad plus some special weapons guys (heavy stubber and Meltagun) and the good quartermaster.
Hope that you like them, there's more to come (because when it comes to the Imperial Guard there's ALWAYS more ;-) )!

WIP: Astra Militarum Commissar #2
Hey folks. Good evening to you all. As usual, I've been working on several projects at once. Most of them I started before I started writing for the blog and will be post here when they are completed this guy I will share along the way.
At this stage I have been mostly getting base colours and shade in place. Next up I'll be getting the uniform and cloak highlighted.

Showcase: Astra Militarum Chimera
Hey all, today I was going to be showing a update for the progress on my almost finished Death Guard army. However I was hit again by another 24 hour man flu which prevented me from taking photos. So instead I decided to show a Chimera that I painted up over the summer. The idea was that I was planning to start a Astra Militarum army but never got round to it. I read in the comments that some of you want a Tyranid tutorial. So I will get one up for the beginning of the new year. What models will you be painting over the Christmas holidays?

A Guardsman is nothing without leadership, so here we got a commissar! Because when no proper officers are around we'll have to resort to political officers.

Showcase: Astra Militarum Veterans Squad
Finally got to paint an Imperial Guard squad again! I painted a lot of those of course for my own IG armies, but I think that this squad is the prettiest I've ever done. They're a mix of all kinds of bits including these metal IG heads which were released around early 2008 I think and which I thought looked really bad in pictures on the GW site, but in fact they look really good and characterful in the flesh.

At this stage I've highlighted the blacks and also made a start on the metals.
