15 Snacks to Boost Energy and Productivity
There are days when you are soo much engrossed in to your work,one totally forgets to take breaks between the 3 regular meals in a day. A couple of years ago, it was hard to track down on H( my better half) !! He was crazily buy with his work, that he would not have any breaks between his morning cereal and lunch. A good gap of 5 hours. and slightly lesser in the evening, as he would manage to grab a cuppa.
Time passed by and he had started developing sign's of acidity and ulcer. During that time, we were out in India and our routine dental hygiene had to be sorted too. When the dentist was doing her bits into his mouth, she immediately asked him - " Have you got any acidity?" She could see the signs in his teeth .
That was an absolute shocker to us !! It was the much need eye opener too for H, who always believed three good meals and a quick tea is all that you need for the day. It is necessary to break free from shakles of the work world just for a moment !! It does rejuvenate and gives you immense concentration when you get back after those few minutes.
After which, H slowly started including Cereal bars and fruits for his meal breaks. Off late our favourite snacking is Nuts. We make our own trail mix everyday. I mixed a handful of Almonds,Pistachio, a tsp of dried cranberries, hazelnuts and some dried mangoes. They are great fillers apart from a glass of fresh fruit juice !!

It’s very easy to grab a chocolate bar or a bag of crisps if we’re hungry, instead of reaching for something healthier, that we often don't notice. Children at my son's school have a strict instruction of no junk snack no chocolate policy, just to encourage healthy eating.
